When people hear the word “Scouting”, they think of campfires and hikes, flags and tents, knots and canoes. All of that is true, and these adventures are certainly a major aspect of the program, but Scouting is so much more than that. The skills and confidence that Scouting instills in youth carry over to many different journeys through life. By the end of his time as a Scout, a Scout has learned how to keep themselves strong in mind and body, with a keen sense of duty to others, their community, their beliefs and them-self. Along the way, they are exposed to many different subjects, all of them open for exploration.
